The FA Cup is back for another season and we start today with an extra-preliminary round tie between Burnham FC & Corsham Town! And Stefan will be there too!
Onto the M1, off at the M69 leading on to the M40 and into Burnham in good time! Straight into the bar and Stefan is here! A few drinks and accents later, it’s time for the game!

Kick Off! 5 minutes in and Corsham play down the right, it’s crossed in and it’s taken down brilliantly by Dylan Lewis and he shoots… OFF THE POST! Should’ve scored there! Let off for Burnham!
20th minute and Burnham have a free kick on the right just outside the box, it’s played short to Ayoub Igozouln to shoot… RIGHT THE WAY THROUGH!! All the way in and Burnham have the lead! 1-0!
Burnham have grown more into the game as the half goes on but Corsham have also responded well to going a goal down. Stefan agrees and states that if this was a boxing match, Burnham would be winning! At half time it remains 1-0.
Second half, 48th minute and Corsham hit it forward… A mix up in the Burnham back line and South-Thomas is around the keeper… And he scores! Corsham are level! Sucker punch! 1-1!
20 minutes later and Burnham play down the left, it’s played across to the edge of the box and Igozouln chests it and goes for the volley… OH IT’S CREPT IN!! Brilliant technique there to deceive the keeper and Burnham lead again! 2-1!
2 minutes later and Burnham have it in the box on the right, it’s played across to Igozouln again… HE’S SCORED AGAIN!!! Brilliant finish! What a spell this is for Burnham! 3-1!
Can Corsham respond here? 75th minute and they have it in the box on the left, it’s drilled across low… It’s fallen here to Javi Blasquez surely… It is!! Game on now! 3-2!
84 minutes now and Corsham have a corner, in it comes… It’s loose… It’s headed towards goal… Where’s that going…? OH! It’s wide! How did that stay out…?
1 minute later and here come Corsham again… It’s loose again in the box… “HANDBALL!” Referee has given it! Can’t see from my view but it’s a Penalty for Corsham! Dylan Lewis steps up… CORSHAM ARE LEVEL!!! What a game! 3-3!
An end to end affair now, can anyone find a winner here…? No! It will be a replay on Tuesday!
