Hamilton Park, home of Leicester Nirvana based in Leicestershire and play their trade in Step 5 of the Non League Pyramid in the United Counties Premier Division North.

One more game left in the United Counties League which is Leicester Nirvana vs Boston Town. Thursday night is always a rare night for football but not at this time of year so we have to make the most of it!

So all the way down the M1 and off at the A50 and into the ground… Wait no that’s Thurnby Rangers… Let’s find the correct postcode… Just another few miles down the road and into Hamilton Park.

£5 to watch this tie! BOOM! Is that a familiar face? Of course I was going to see one tonight! Motohopper Tim is here! In come the players from their warm ups just in time for the rain to come down… Typical! Is that another familiar face? As Alan Partridge once said: “And another!” Chimay Bielsa himself along with Mark who supports… Chesterfield?! Oh no…

The teams are ready! We are ready! One last hurrah for the United Counties Premier Division North… Why does it have to rain now?!

Kick Off! 8 minutes in and Leicester play a ball over the top for number 9, he takes a touch and gets a shot away on the edge of the box… Deflected… It’s wide! Corner, in it comes… Cleared by Boston.

2 minutes later and Boston drive into the box on the left, it’s played across, number 10 slides in… And… Leicester get it away! Boston unlucky there not to find the net.

18th minute and Boston’s number 7 drives down the left, he charges into the box and he shoots… It’s saved!

28 minutes now and Boston have it on the right, it’s lumped into the box for number 7 running in to shoot first TIME… He’s missed… Over! Absolute sitter!

36th minute and Leicester play it forward, they get into the box on the left and the shot comes in… It’s saved… It’s gone underneath the keeper and it’s rolling in… It’s cleared off the keeper and it falls for number 11… And it’s smashed in! Leicester lead! 1-0!

3 minutes later and Leicester come forward, it’s chipped through for number 11… Was that a hand holding him back there…? He’s gone down! The linesman has flagged and the Referee goes over to him. He’s given the Penalty! Boston’s number 4 was the man who committed the foul… Red card! He’s walking! Number 5 to take for Leicester… And he scores! It’s 2-0! That’s how it stays at half time.

Second half, 51 minutes now and Boston play a long ball forward, it falls for number 2 in the box nicely and he’s around the keeper… Will he get to the loose ball…? HE WILL! Game on! 2-1!

1 minute later and Boston win the ball back in the Leicester half, that’s poor from Nirvana, number 2 gets into the box on the left and he shoots… It’s deflected… The keeper gets a hand to it but it’s beyond him… It’s going to be a goal… Number 10 slides in and they’re level! 2-2! What a comeback! 10 men as well!

56th minute and Boston’s number 3 has it around 30 yards out and he goes for goal… Deflected slightly… Brilliant save! The keeper tips it wide for a corner, in it comes… Cleared by Leicester.

64 minutes on the watch and Boston play down the right, it’s crossed in, it comes to number 3 in the box and he takes it down… OH! He’s brought down! Penalty! Stone wall for me! Boston have the chance to turn this game on it’s head! Amazingly! Number 2 steps up… HE’S SCORED! A pin drop silence… The Leicester Nirvana fans can’t believe it! 2-3!

88th minute now and Leicester are trying to get themselves back into this game here. Leicester play down the left now, they get into the box and it’s played across low, the shot… Deflected out for a corner, in it comes… It’s headed away. Leicester continue to press… They won’t find the equaliser here… Boston with 10 men have come from 2 down to win 3-2!

• Atmosphere: 1/10 – Not too many here sadly…
• The Ground: 5.5/10 – It is pretty basic. I do like the stands but for me it’s the trees that give it a pretty look.
• Expense: 10/10 – £5 for a great game in the end! What more do you need at the football?!
• Overall Experience: 8/10 – Great to see Tim and Richard and meet Mark and a great game to finish the United Counties too!
