The replay is upon us! An incredible game on the Sunday between Hallam and Irlam in the FA Cup saw Hallam 3-0 down but they battled and battled and equalised in stoppage time to take this tie to a replay! This promises to be a nail biting tie!
So once again it’s over the Peak District onto the M67, to the M60 and into the ground with about 45 minutes to kick off. £6 to get in here! Magic! Pre-match entertainment? In Non League? Amazing! Well done Irlam!

Kick Off! 2 minutes in and Irlam hit the ball forward… Uh-oh! The Hallam left back hasn’t dealt with that and Daniels is in for Irlam… AND HE SCORES!! Irlam lead again in this tie! Hallam shooting themselves in the foot early on! 1-0!
Can Hallam respond again? Well almost immediately from kick off and they have it down the right, it’s crossed in towards Watson… OH HE’S HIT THE BAR! It’s gone out for a goal kick! My word this tie is a crazy one and we’re only 3 minutes in!!
Hallam are piling on the pressure now and they certainly have woken up! Can they find that all important equaliser again here?
18 minutes now and it’s Irlam down the right, it’s played to the edge of the box for Walker who shoots first time… OHHH!!! What a strike! Irlam go 2 up! It’s another cracker for their second goal! Eat that! 2-0!
5 minutes later and Hallam come forward, it’s played to Watson in the box on the right and he’s got a sight of goal here… AND HE FINDS THE BOTTOM CORNER!! WHAT A GAME THIS IS ALREADY!! 2-1! Game on again!
29th minute and it’s all Hallam now! Wave after wave and here’s Ollie Fearon on the right who cuts inside onto his left and he shoots… It’s wide! Close!
41 minutes on the watch and Irlam come forward on the break from a Hallam attack, it’s played across to Taylor who’s in… The keeper has got something on that…… It’s cleared off the line and Irlam think that has gone across the line… It has! Smash & Grab for Irlam and it’s 3-1!!
2 minutes later and here come Hallam again, they get it out to the right and it’s played in… That looks close… Keeper parries it away but only to Ollie Fearon who controls and volleys… OH! Brilliant save and well held!!
1 minute after and here come Hallam again, they get the ball into the box and it falls for Iren Wilson who goes for it on the half volley… AND HE GETS IT!! WHAT A GAME!! 3-2!! Hallam will not give up here!
The first half goes on… And on… And on… But we do now have half time with the score at 3-2! WHAT A HALF OF FOOTBALL!
Second half, Hallam continuing to press for the equaliser here, will they be triumphant this time? They certainly need to beware of Irlam on the break!
76th minute and here come Hallam again, it’s played across to the edge of the box and the shot comes in… OH! THEY’VE HIT THE BAR AGAIN!! Agonizingly close for Hallam!
1 minute later and it’s Hallam again, Ollie Fearon gets into the box on the left, he goes for the near post… BRILLIANT SAVE!! Tipped wide for a corner and here comes the corner… Cleared by Irlam.
88th minute and Irlam come forward now, it’s played to Walker on the edge of the box and he goes for goal… IRLAM SCORE!!! Surely that ends a dramatic tie! The Irlam keeper loved that one! Massive goal! 4-2!
Into stoppage time now and Irlam come forward again, they get into the box and the Irlam man is brought down… Free kick is given! Irlam think that was in the box! The Referee is going over to his assistant and… Penalty! And a Red Card for the Hallam man… Oh dear! It’s not over yet… The Hallam keeper has some choice words for the Assistant Referee and he is flagging… Referee goes over… OH! It’s another Red! Don’t know what was said there but Hallam are in danger of absolutely imploding here…
Ollie Fearon will go in goal for this Penalty and the rest of the game now. Daniels to take for Irlam… And he scores!! 5-2! Game, set & match to Irlam! What a tie it has been!

- Atmosphere: 5/10 – The travelling Hallam fans did themselves proud and you could feel the tension in the crowd tonight!
- The Ground: 4.5/10 – Not too bad! It’s all at one corner of the ground with the stand and standing area. The rest of the ground is a bit bland unfortunately but it’s not a bad ground!
- Expense: 10/10 – £6 to get in and £3 for a pin badge! Great value for a game like that!
- Overall Experience: 8/10 – Really enjoyed that one! Not as good as the first tie but still a fabulous game! Well done to Irlam!
