It’s another night following York City away but no Gary for tonight who is in the capital watching a gig but hey ho the show must go on! Altrincham is the destination tonight who are not in the best of form but then again neither are York since the managerial change… Something will change tonight surely!

Kick Off! 3 minutes in and Altrincham have it on the left, it’s played in… AND IT’S GONE IN… What was the keeper doing there? It was creeping goal wards but the keeper should have saved that! Howler! 1-0!
Altrincham are all over York here… York fans are getting frustrated big time here!
26th minute and York have a free kick on the right, it’s played in to the box… Altrincham get it away and they break forward and look at the space… It’s set up for Justin Amaluzor in the box to shoot… And he finds the bottom corner… It’s 2-0! Oh dear York…
Altrincham continue to dominate and the York end are starting to wonder how it’s only 2! Right on half time and they have a corner, in it comes… It’s pinball bit it falls for the keeper to clear… he hasn’t and it’s fallen for Jake Cooper to shoot… It’s another one! That’s an absolute shocker! 3-0!
Half time comes to a chorus of boos from the York end and the keeper getting some stick from his own fans…
Second half, 54th minute and John-Lewis is through and he’s beaten the Offside trap… But his lob attempt goes wide… Just like the York fan’s hope for anything from this game…
65 minutes now and York come forward, Maz Kouhyar has it and he shoots from 25 yards… AND SCORES!!! Do York have hope? 3-1!
71 minutes now and Alex Newby has space to run into, he shoots from outside the box… OH NO! It’s another howler from the keeper! Straight at him but the swerve of the ball has deceived him and it’s in the net… 4-1!
81 minutes gone and Altrincham play a quick free kick down the right and they get into the box, he plays it across to Chris Con-Clarke to shoot… And he scores… Embarrassing York! 5-1!
5 minutes later and Alex Newby is through on the left and he’s in on goal… He’s rolled it past the keeper and it’s there again… Just wow York! 6-1!
A disastrous night for York ends 6-1…

- Atmosphere: 4/10 – Toxic in the away end but the Altrincham fans in good spirits with some creative chants but nothing too loud really.
- The Ground: 10/10 – What a ground! Very unique with different features at all ends in particular standing terraces all around! Wouldn’t go amiss in the Football League! I love it!
- Expense: 8/10 – £20 a bit much for this level I think, we got 7 goals but not the way I would’ve wanted it to be shared tonight…
- Overall Experience: 5/10 – Well played York…
