The Fred Harding Ground, home of Graham Street Prims based in Spondon, Derbyshire and play their trade in the Central Midlands Football League.
Formerly of Step 6 as recent as last season but sadly the club couldn’t avoid relegation and went down along with their neighbours from across the car park but didn’t join the same league as them.
Tonight it’s a league game against Derby Singh Brothers. Prims currently in third whereas Singh Brothers languish in midtable. Home banker? We will find out as it’s down the M1 and onto the A52 across Brian Clough Way and into the car park… Two sets of floodlights on tonight I see. Well it’s across to the other side tonight to complete the car park! £5 for this one! Yabba Dabba Doo!
A quick lap around the pitch and is that a familiar face again? Chris Berezai is here and it’s great to meet another groundhopper in Greg here tonight! The teams are ready, we are ready! Let’s have another spectacular Wednesday night!
Kick Off! 10 minutes in and Prims play a long ball forward, number 11 gets it and gets into the box on the right, he cuts inside and shoots… Straight at the keeper! Should’ve played that across to the Prims men in the middle there!
4 minutes later and it’s a free kick for Singh from around 30 yards, number 8 steps up, he shoots… OH! WHAT A FANTASTIC HIT! IT’S INTO THE TOP CORNER!! Another free kick goal! I’m certainly having a run of them at the moment! 0-1!
23 minutes now and Singh’s number 6 goes in two footed there on the Prims man… It’s a free kick on the right for Prims but what is the Referee going to give here…? The card is out… What colour is it? The floodlights and our view here is not helping… Number 6 is walking… It was a Red Card! Well you certainly see them given! Not the best of challenges! Prims play the free kick forward into the box… Singh clear.
33 minutes on the watch and Singh play it through to number 12 running in, keeper comes… He gets there and it’s come off the nearby defender and…… It’s not going in and the defender will get there on the goalmouth to clear.
1 minute later and Singh come forward again, it comes for them on the left and it’s played to number 8 in the box on the left, he sets himself and shoots… OH FANTASTIC!! Top corner again! That is SENSATIONAL! What a night he is having! 0-2!
39th minute now and Singh are smelling blood here at the prospect of more goals! They come forward again down the left, number 7 gets into the box and plays it across to number 12 to shoot… Where’s that going…? INTO THE NET!! That’s where!! It’s THREE for Singh!! 0-3!
Singh continue to press in this half but will settle for 3 at half time here.
Second half, 51 minutes gone and Prims play down the right, it’s crossed in, it comes for number 9 at the far post with the header… OH! It’s a brilliant reaction save! He should’ve scored but it’s great goalkeeping!
61 now and Prims play it down the right, it’s played across the box for number 9 in space… OH! He’s missed an absolute sitter! That should be 3-1!
3 minutes later and Prims are having a good time down the right hand side here! They get it in the box on the right again and it’s played across, it comes to the left and it’s played back in, it’s set up for the half volley… Blocked! It’s pinball… It’s bundled in! Not sure who scored but Prims have one back now! 1-3!
72 minutes now and it’s a corner for Prims, in it comes… It’s headed on, number 6 controls and goes for the volley on the turn… OH! It’s tipped over! Good save! Corner again, in it comes… Cleared by Singh.
78th minute and Prims play a chipped ball into the box for number 9 in the box on the left, keeper comes… Oooooh! Did he bring him down there…? Referee blows and runs over… Penalty! He’s given it! Soft I think! Number 8 takes… And scores! 2-3! Are we seeing a 3-0 comeback for the second time in a row in Derbyshire here?!
We’re into added time now and Prims are throwing everything at Singh now! They play a long throw in from the right, it’s head tennis and it comes for number 3 in the box on the left to volley… Blocked! It comes for 11 to SHOOT… It’s straight at the keeper… So close!
Play goes on… Prims play it forward, it comes for number 9 who sets up number 5 to shoot… OHHHHHHH MY WORD WHAT A SAVE!!!! Somehow the keeper gets his hand to it to tip it over for a corner when it looked certain to nestle in the top corner there! The corner comes in… It comes out to the left for Prims to retrieve, it’s played back in… Singh clear… That’s it! Derby Singh Brothers hold on for a massive win!

- The Ground: 5.5/10 – It’s pretty basic but it’s good basic! I really like the stand behind the goal more than anything here but nothing much else to shout about really.
- Expense: 10/10 – £5 for a cracker of a game!
- Overall Experience: 9/10 – Really enjoyed that! Great to see Chris and Greg here tonight and I really enjoyed the game!
