Hanwell Town

The Powerday Stadium, Reynolds Field, home of Hanwell Town based in Perivale, West London and compete in Step 4 of the non league pyramid in the Isthmian League South Central Division. Nicknamed the “Geordies” and play in Black & White… Sound familiar? If Newcastle United springs to mind? You’re absolutely right!! Believe it or not, back in the 1920s, a group of people from Newcastle were working in Hanwell and decided to form their own team! They kept their own club colours and are still playing today! What a story! Fog on the Tyne!? Fog on the Thames!!

Ratings

  • Atmosphere: 2/10 – There was a fair few in attendance today but only the lads behind the goal had a go at chanting.
  • The Ground: 8/10 – For this level, it is a lovely ground!! A stand behind each goal with a seated stand on one side and a lovely clubhouse with a great vantage point!
  • Expense: 9/10 – £8 is ok, we got plenty of goals but no real drama in the game.
  • Overall Experience: 8/10 – I had a great time here today! Great to meet local football fans and it was a decent game! It is a lovely club I have to say as well!
