Bramall Lane, home of Sheffield United Women based in South Yorkshire and play their trade in the Women’s Championship. Nicknamed the “Blades” just like the Men’s team.

Sunday League returns and today it’s a short drive to Dronfield for Dronfield Wanderers vs Hasland Community. So it’s through Woodseats to Meadowhead and into Coal Aston… There’s nobody here… Has the game been called off or have I got the wrong place…?

Well time is up for that one but is there anywhere else nearby with an 11am kick off…? Dronfield United? Let’s drive down to Unstone and… No one here again! Am I missing a trick here? Well time is up but I’m really in the mood to see a game now…

Sheffield United Women vs Lewes FC Women in the Women’s Championship at Bramall Lane? Well I haven’t seen them since they played at Bramall Lane, let’s go! Turnip has checked in on FutBology as well!

Driving back home realising I never needed to set foot in my car in the first place…? Priceless! I’m parked up and now walking to Bramall Lane.

Kick Off! 5 minutes in and Sheffield United lose it at the back, Ellie Mason gets it in the box and gets a shot away… it rolls wide! Big gift there that Lewes should have taken!

17 minutes now and Sheffield United play it to the left for Courtney Sweetman-Kirk running in, she shoots from just outside the box… Over!

24th minute and Sheffield United have a corner, it’s played into the middle… Courtney Sweetman-Kirk with the header… And it’s in!! Sheffield United have the lead! 1-0! Against the run of play it has to be said!

31 minutes now and can Lewes get back into this? They have it down the right, it’s played across low, it comes to Kirsty Barton running in… Oh yes! What a finish! It’s a very well taken goal and Lewes are back in it! 1-1!

The game has slowed down now but Lewes having more of the ball respectively but at half time it remains 1-1.

Second half, Lewes come forward straight away, Ellie Mason is played in… She’s missed! She’s Offside anyway.

2 minutes later and Lewes play it to the left, the United defender misses it and Ellie Mason is away, she gets into the box and fires at goal… And finds it!! Another great finish from Lewes in this game! 1-2! Lewes have the lead here!

52 minutes on the clock and Sheffield United have a free kick on the right, it’s played in, Naomi Hartley… YES!! She gets to it and guides it home! United are level! 2-2!

60th minute now and Lewes play the ball forward for Ellie Mason and she’s onside, she’s in and she’s all on her own… She’s done it! Brilliant ball and brilliant finish! Lewes lead again! 2-3!

86 minutes now and Sheffield United are pushing for the equaliser here! They play forward, it’s played to Sophie Barker in the box on the right and she’ll get there to cross… The keeper claims.

Into added time now and Sheffield United have a free kick from around 30 yards, it’s played in, Lewes win the header but it comes to Georgia Walters on the VOLLEY… Oh it’s wide! Play goes on… Lewes hold on for the win!
