Sandygate Football Facility, home of West Yorkshire Ladies based in Hemsworth, West Yorkshire and play their trade in the West Riding County Women’s Football League.

The Sunday doubles continue and now me and the Merry Miller make the short journey from Thurnscoe over the West Yorkshire border into Hemsworth with 45 minutes to go until kick off. She lumps it forward, West Yorkshire intercept and play forward again, they get into the box with number 9, she plays in number 14… It must be… No! The keeper saves the shot! That should’ve been 1-0 there!

18th minute and West Yorkshire have a free kick just outside the box, number 8 shoots… Over!

The Republica bench will not let their team drop their heads here! 1 minute later and West Yorkshire play it forward again, the republica defender gets something on that long ball and number 14 will chase for West Yorkshire, the keeper comes for it… Number 14 gets there first… And she will score!! It’s 2 in 2 minutes!! 2-0!

For the first time in a while it’s great to be joined by Graham Kenworthy once again! It’s been a while!

Right on half time now and West Yorkshire come again, it’s come for number 28 in the box and she’s in… And scores!! Good finish! That should be the game already for West Yorkshire! 4-0!

Into stoppage time in the first half and here they come again, West Yorkshire have a throw in on the left, it’s played in and West Yorkshire work it into the box, number 13 gets to the ball in the six yard box to the left and she’ll get there… And poke it in!!! FIVE!! 5-0! It’s half time now.
