Let’s hope it’s as good as last season! Off to Sheffield station to meet Kizz. Mr and Mrs Merry Miller are in the car with him and here they are! Now for the journey to Calver. 30 minutes later and here we are!
Dove Holes Reserves the visitors here tonight! Free Entry to this Hope Valley tie! Fantastically Beautiful! Kick Off! 2 minutes in and Calver have a corner, in it comes… Headed away by Dove Holes but only back out to the right wing, it’s crossed in again, here’s Calver’s number 16… He’s swung at it but he’s missed it and it hits him in the face… But it falls to Calver’s number 11!! He finishes!! The flag is up on the far side… But the Referee has overruled it and the goal stands! 1-0!
10 minutes now and Dove Holes come forward now, the ball is played to number 9, he gets just inside the box on the left and he shoots… Just wide! 1 minute later and Calver come forward now, good passing move by Calver and it’s played to number 9 in the box, he does a Cruyff turn and he shoots… Deflected… It’s in!! 2-0!! Calver cruising here!
An even game here now but who would get the next goal? 26 minutes on the clock and Dove Holes have a free kick on the left hand side, it’s crossed in… A free header for number 16… Just wide! 31st minute and Dove Holes have a free kick in the Calver half, it’s put into the box, flicked on to the left side of the box for number 10 to strike first time! Straight at the keeper!
39th minute and Dove Holes have a corner, in it comes… Number 14 with the header… Just over the bar! Dove Holes continue to press to get back into the game but would fail to get one before half time with the score remaining 2-0 to Calver.
Second half, 48 minutes on the timer and Dove Holes have a throw in on the left, thrown to number 3 on the left wing, he bursts forward and he goes for goal from distance… OH WHAT A HIT!!! Keeper gets a hand to it but it’s too hot to handle!! Eat that!! 2-1! Game on!!
Dove Holes starting to press for the equaliser now. 55th minute and Dove Holes come again, number 11 gets the ball around 25 yards out, he goes for the curler… Keeper saves. 58th minute and Calver come forward now, the ball is played to number 9 around 35 yards out, he goes for glory… Keeper is off his line… HE GETS IT!!! ANOTHER FANTASTIC GOAL HERE TONIGHT!!! 3-1!! Whatever Dove Holes can do, Calver can do better!
70 minutes now and Dove Holes come forward, it’s played out to the left, it’s crossed in towards number 12! OH! He’s headed it over! Big chance there! The game has become an even affair now but ultimately there would be no 5th goal here tonight.
