  • Liverpool – I expect a close title race this season once again between Liverpool and Manchester City but I believe that Liverpool will win it this year as it is the one title that Liverpool fans would love to win more than any other and with the addition of Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah’s new contract, a front 3 of Salah, Nunez & Diaz will set the Premier League alight!
  • Manchester City – They have been incredible in the League over the past few years but I think Liverpool will pip them to it this season. The addition of Haaland will make them ever stronger of course but there’s one trophy that City really want to win and the more that drought goes on, the more pressure on Pep Guardiola and I think City will turn their attention more to the Champions League this season.
  • Tottenham Hotspur – I can see big things for Spurs this season under Antonio Conte! They’ve got the right man for the job and the new additions of Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma and Richarlison will add strength in depth. I don’t expect a title charge from Tottenham but I do think they will secure Champions League football for 2023/24.
  • Chelsea – Like Tottenham, I don’t see Chelsea mounting a title charge but I do expect a top 4 finish. With Lukaku leaving and potentially Sterling or Neymar coming in to replace him, this would surely secure a top 4 finish at least for Chelsea.
  • Arsenal – Arsenal did well last season after a poor start and with the new additions they have brought in, I believe they will secure a Europa League spot, I don’t think they are quite good enough for a top 4 finish but I do think they will get 5th.
  • Manchester United – It is a long way back for Manchester United from where they came under Fergie but the appointment of Ten Hag will be a long term project for United. The addition of Eriksen will improve their midfield but it is pivotal that Ronaldo stays. The potential addition of De Jong will be a good one but I don’t see United finishing higher than 6th.
  • West Ham United – A club definitely on the up! I think West Ham will continue to improve after their fantastic Europa League run last season but I think Manchester United will just pip them to 6th.
  • Newcastle United – After looking certain to go down in the first half of last season, Eddie Howe has certainly turned the club around! The takeover has given the fans a lot of hope! I don’t expect the club to reach for the stars just yet but I do think they’ll get a top half finish this season.
  • Nottingham Forest – It’s been a long time!! They are back! A miraculous recovery from where they were under Chris Hughton compared to where they are now under Steve Cooper. I believe they will relish the challenge and have a great first season back in the Premier League and I believe they will secure a top half finish.
  • Leicester City – I don’t expect too much from Leicester this season, it’s an aging squad and they could lose Youri Tielemans this summer, I think they’ll finish mid-table.
  • Wolverhampton Wanderers – Same as Leicester, Wolves are a make stay in the League for sure but I don’t expect them to light up the League like they used to.
  • Aston Villa – Maybe not the best season last season but I expect Steven Gerrard to kick on as Villa manager, I don’t think they will light up the League but I certainly don’t think they’ll be in any sort of danger, just below mid-table I think.
  • Crystal Palace – A decent first season under Patrick Vieira and I believe they will have a similar season this time around.
  • Leeds United – They just escaped relegation on the last day of the season last time around, I believe Leeds will kick on and cement their place in the League where they belong. I don’t think they will do as well as they did in their first season under Marcelo Bielsa but I do think they will stay in the League and more comfortably this time around.
  • Southampton – I think they will fare just as they did last season but it is vital that they keep hold of James Ward-Prowse! Without him then Southampton could be in a bit of bother if they don’t replace him correctly.
  • Brighton & Hove Albion – They had a great season last season but I think they may struggle a little this season. I think they’ll stay up though.
  • Brentford – Second season syndrome is a real thing and it is Brentford’s second season in the Premier League. A very good start to life in the Premier League but I think reality will kick on for them this season but I do believe they will just scrape survival for another year.
  • Everton – It may be wishful thinking by me the Liverpool fan but I believe that this is the year that Everton go down! Losing Richarlison is a big blow if they don’t replace him correctly and I am personally not convinced that Lampard is the right man for the job and he could potentially be the first managerial casualty this season. It’s been a tricky few years for Everton but I think this season could be the worst one of all…
  • Bournemouth – I think they’ll go straight back down… I just don’t believe the squad is good enough for the League.
  • Fulham – Same as Bournemouth and like Norwich I think Fulham will go straight back down as Norwich did last season as I don’t believe the squad is good enough for the League.
