Kick Off! 2 minutes in and Wednesday play forward, a through ball to number 11, the Hepworth keeper charges out… Number 11 beats her to it and she’s around her, tight angle… But she finds the net at the near post!! Brilliant start for Wednesday!! 1-0!! 8 minutes now, corner for Wednesday, whipped in… Number 2 with the free header… Wide!! Could have been a lot more there!
15 minutes now and Wednesday come forward down the left, it’s played into the box, played across to number 11 at the near post… It’s there!! She’s got another one!! And it’s 2-0 to Wednesday!!
28th minute and Hepworth come forward now, it comes to number 16, she’s 25 yards out and she goes for goal… OH! What a strike!!!! She gets it over the keeper and it lashes into the net!! Hepworth are back in it!!! What a goal that is!!! 2-1!! 32 minutes now and Wednesday play a through ball out to the left, number 10 runs onto it and crosses, number 11 is there to meet it… She finishes!! Wednesday restore their 2 goal lead!! 3-1!!
1 minute later and Hepworth charge forward, a through ball is played to number 16, keeper comes out… She goes down… Referee points to the spot!! Debatable that one for me but Hepworth have a chance to lower the deficit again, number 7 to step up… OH! She’s hit the bar!! Wednesday clear! Big chance wasted by Hepworth…
39th minute and Wednesday come forward, a through ball to number 19 and she’s beaten the offside trap and she’s in… She’s around the keeper… She’s took a heavy touch too far and the tight angle forces a save from the keeper and it’s a corner, in it comes… Keeper collects. 43 minutes on the clock and Hepworth have a goal kick, it goes straight to Wednesday’s number 9 and she drives into the box and shoots… She finds the net!!! 4-1!!! At half time the score is 4-1 to Wednesday.
Second half, 55th minute and Wednesday come down the right flank, crossed in, it falls to number 8 to shoot… She’s hit the bar!! Hepworth clear. 59th minute and Wednesday have a throw in on the right, a long throw into the middle, it evades everyone and comes to number 10 at the back post… She can’t miss!!! It’s 5-1 to Wednesday now!!
61 minutes gone and Wednesday play down the left, crossed in, number 19 brings it down brilliantly, is this her moment…? NO! She’s hit the bar… Somehow! It falls to number 9 to strike… Wide! 1 minute later and Wednesday come forward again, a through ball played to number 19 and she’s in just like the first half chance… This time!!! She doesn’t miss this time!!! And it’s 6-1!!
65th minute and Hepworth have a goal kick, they play it short… Hepworth lose it and it’s played to Wednesday’s number 19 in the box… She goes for the far corner and finds it!!! 7-1!!! Could we see double figures here!? 71 minutes played and Wednesday have a throw in on the right, thrown down the right wing to number 19, she plays it to number 22 who gets into the box and she shoots… She scores!!! 8-1 now!!!
77th minute and Wednesday keep on coming! Number 22 has it and she drives into the box and shoots… She’s hit the post but here’s number 11 for the rebound… The keeper can’t get there and it’s 9!!! Surely this is the day we get double figures!! 9-1!! 81 minutes gone now and here come Wednesday again down the left, played to number 19, she beats the defender and shoots… Keeper saves but it falls to number 11!! THERE IT IS!!! DOUBLE FIGURES FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER!!!! 10-1!
1 minute later and Wednesday come again, number 19 has it and she gets to the edge of the box and shoots… Goal again!! 11-1!!! How many are they getting here? 1 minute later and Wednesday have the ball in midfield, a through ball to number 19 who’s in again… She scores again!! 12-1!!
87th minute and Hepworth lose the ball in their own half again, number 19 picks it up and gets into the box and shoots… It’s another one!! 13-1!!! 1 minute later and Wednesday come once again, a through ball to number 19 with the keeper committed… Keeper gets there first but scuffs to kick straight to number 11 with the goal gaping… She doesn’t miss!! 14-1!!! The Referee blows for full time! The biggest score line in the blog’s history so far!!
